CFDA x Tons of Designers Against Fakes

And you can’t fake the pure amazingness that were the collaborative bags by designers like Jason Wu, Betsey Johnson and Coach. These one of a kind bags sold out immediately after being put up for sale on eBay. They were priced at $150 each. However, you can still purchase the basic design, pictured below, for $35 for a limited time and trick it out yourself!

The totes by CFDA are going towards raising money for the fight against the production of counterfeit bags.

The recently announced, and highly anticipated, collaboration between Versace and H&M will not disappoint. Like previous H&M collaborations, this collection won’t come cheap but saving up to purchase a few of the 40+ pieces sounds like a brilliant idea.

“The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that express the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather, silk and colorful prints, and accessories including high heels and costume jewelry.”- H&M

From the Mouth of Fashion: The Latest Fashion-Related Reports

The Latest Fashion-Related Reports

If it’s fashion-related it must be newsworthy right?

Vogue Paris Switches It Up

Ever since Carine Roitfeld decided to leave Vogue Paris, after a ten year run, the decision on who would replace her has been all over the news. After much speculation, Emmanuelle Alt has been named as Carine’s replacement. Emmanuelle Alt was Vogue Paris’ Fashion Director since 2000 and, according to the New York Times, improved the “circulation…from just under 100,000 to more than 140,000 last year”. Since Ms. Alt was known for her “bold, if not controversial, fashion layouts”while she was a Fashion Director, it will be interesting to see which direction she  will take the magazine in 2011 and onward (although, many aren’t expecting a major shift in power from Carine to Emmanuelle.).

Lady Gaga’s Latest Fashion Influence

Gaga, the Creative Director at Polaroid,  announced a new gadget that will hopefully be on our faces soon. CNET.com– “the super-stylish GL20 Camera Glasses contain a camera and 1.5-inch OLED screens that can capture and display images and video to people around you.”

From The Mouth Of Fashion: Anna Dello Russo’s Front Row Advice

Anna Dello Russo’s Front Row Advice

Anna Dello Russo has been all across my fashion news-feeds recently. She’s a major fashion editor and editor at large of Vogue Japan and a super stylish woman. So when I saw that she had advice up for those lucky few who get to sit in the front row at major fashion shows, I had to see what this fashion queen’s “rules” of the “row” were.

” During the fashion week I have my rules to follow and I’m going to tell my top ten list for the FRONT-ROW “

1) YOU MUST WEAR OUTFIT ONCE.

2) WEAR GOOD SHOES. DON’T BOTHER WITH A BAG CAUSE WHEN YOU PUT IT ON THE FLOOR IT COULD BE ANYONE.

(I agree completely! I’m a shoe-girl all the way!)

3) WEAR COAT AS A DRESS.ONE-SHOT IS BETTER.

4) DON’T WEAR SUNGLASSES,IF YOU NOT ARE VIP (VERY VERY IMPORTANT PERSON).
IT’S IMPOLITE.

(Yes, yes, yes! Sunglasses indoors is soooo rude! If you are Karl Lagerfeld or Anna Wintour that’s one thing but if you are going to a fashion show, you should really be looking at the clothing through “untinted” eyes)

5) SOMEBODY WEARING YOUR SAME OUTFIT?
WONDERFUL, YOU DID THE
RIGHT CHOICE!

6) FLASHY JEWELS PERSONALIZE YOUR STYLE.

7) NOTHING SUCCEEDS LIKE EXCESS!

8 ) DON’T PEEK INTO THE CLIPBOARD OF WHO IS SITTING NEXT.

9) DON’T SAY HELLO SHOWILY AND WARMLY AT WHO IS IN FRONT OF YOU.

(Because there is probably a reason why they are in front of you..)

10) SHARE YOUR LOVE FOR THE SHOW
ON TWITTER AS MUCH YOU CAN.

(Twitter for the win! Share the love fashionable people! I love to see your opinions!)

(Rules are from Anna’s website)
