“It’s friday, friday, gotta buy Alexander Wang and Zara on friday.”
Not the real lyrics, but I have a feeling that would improve the song. Maybe.
My two (only two?! such restraint!) purchases from this year’s Black Friday:
I saved $624.91. Success.
What did you buy on Black Friday?
Stacey Bendet, of Alice + Olivia, weekly provides her blog’s audience with challenging words and their definitions “because fashion girls should be smart too.”
I’ve submitted my Early Decision application! This, of course, means I have received the ultimate prize (other than getting accepted to the school): I finally was given access to my pile of amazing fashion books I had picked up on my recent trip to Book Book in NYC.
Some of said books:
From Right to Left:
Costume and Fashion: A Concise History by James Laver
Courrèges by Valérie Guillaume
Chanel by Axel Madsen
New York Fashion Week by Eila Mell
Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M. by Sam Wasson
A.L.T 365+ by André Leon Talley
I’m so excited to read these!
Jeffrey Campbell’s Foxy Platform Sandals
Like Beyonce’s character from Austin Powers’ Goldmember, this platform is a whole lotta shoe. Towering above the ground with a five and a half inch heel, and a two inch platform, this shoe takes sandals to a new height.
This shoe is the perfect 70’s style addition for any closet.
The Foxy Platform comes in a wide range of colors, textures (suede, sparkled, etc) and prices ($90-$145).

Detail of the print:
I don’t think I could love this dress more than I do now! It’s retro-fantastic!
This dress is like combing Andy Warhol’s famous floral prints with 1950s housewife couture!
(A.k.a the best combo ever!)

Jeffrey Campbell’s Lita
The Lita is everywhere! On the blogs, on Lookbook.nu and on the streets in my town! The shoes are intriguing; a throw back to the platforms of the 70s. The Lita comes in so many colors and furs (leopard is one of them). As for comfort, I have yet to try them on but since there is a 2 inch inner support in the front of the shoe, to counterbalance the 5 inch heel, I’m sure they are fine to walk in.
If you want to check the Lita out for yourself, head down to your local LF store or buy online!
Lanvin for H&M
H&M, like many other huge clothing stores that offer pieces for relatively low prices, collaborates often with big name designers. For this fall/winter season, H&M has teamed up with Lanvin. While the prices aren’t exactly pocket friendly, for your average high schooler, there are pieces in the collection that would surely be a great investment.

I am obsessed with the shoes for the collection. Here are my two favorites:
Video of the Collection:
The collection hits stores November 20th in the US and Canada.
I got this purse after deciding it wouldn’t be the brightest idea to tote around my newly acquired Moschino bag everyday. So I went where I go when I need something cheap and chic; (and no I don’t mean I go look at the Moschino Cheap and Chic line because lets face it, while it is chic, it’s not so cheap) I went to the local Forever21. After scouring through their not so organized bag rack, I found a little gem hiding amongst the boring and basic oversized-tote-bags. For $22.80, I couldn’t resist.
- Really cute design!
- Simple but not boring.
- Hasn’t fallen apart yet (minus the little zipper fabric strip attachment)
- Pretty small. I can fit a decent amount in (Wallet, phone, some make up and a few other little things).
- Gets dirty easily.
- Metal studs in front feel lose but haven’t come off yet.
Overall: I give this bag an 8/10 because of it’s affordability and overall cuteness.
This girl is my new idol. I had no idea that in this world there was someone as addicted, or even more addicted, to Jeffrey Campbell’s shoes as I am. Even though she lives many many miles away, I feel a connection with her over our shared love for JC. While her collection grows, so does her amazing blog. Each new shoe has a new post which makes for a very covetable read. Maybe one of these days I too will have to make a new closet big enough to hold a huge collection of Jeffrey Campbell shoes.
Today I had the honor to search through my grandma’s closet and I came out with some great pieces! After stocking up on enough lipstick to last me a lifetime, we headed over to her double closet. After explaining that I like very shaped bags and that I prefer square bags, she found this little number in one of the closets.
A gorgeous green and brown metallic Moschino bag. I have to quote Rachel Zoe and say “I die”.
